A Word on Costs & Price-Shopping

A Word on Costs & Price-Shopping

First and foremost, we believe in transparency. Schaudt's is the only area funeral home that publishes all prices online, with nothing to hide. If you are "price shopping", be sure to get any quotes IN WRITING, and make sure ALL charges are disclosed. We will match the price of any local competitor for comparable goods and services.

We understand that funeral and cremation services are not inexpensive, and that often you may be faced with these costs at a time when you are least prepared.

At Schaudt's, we try very hard to price our services as reasonably as possible. This means charging a fair price that allows us to continue the level of care we have provided the community for generations.

We have learned over the years not only what it costs to do business, but most importantly what it costs to stay in business. We have watched over the years as other funeral homes have come and gone, most making promises they can't deliver while claiming to be "cheaper" than Schaudt's.

Our experience tells us that very few people want the least-experienced or cheapest funeral director, just as they wouldn't want the least-experienced and cheapest doctor, lawyer, plumber, or even car mechanic. As we all know, if it's cheap, it's cheap for a reason.

We welcome price inquiries and are happy to explain why we charge what we charge while also respectfully pointing out why our charges may differ from a discount provider.

Just as with anything else, a fair comparison cannot be made based on price alone. Feel free to call us anytime for a frank and open discussion on this topic or any other.
