William "Bill" Marris, 73, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 11, 1950, in Okmulgee to Lester and Mae (Bryant) Marris.

Bill served in the Marines for two years following his high school years in Okmulgee. After his military service, he dedicated himself to a career at East Central Electric as a Lineman, where he worked diligently for 30 years until his well-deserved retirement.

In the roller skating rink back in high school, Bill met the love of his life, Dianna, and they were married when she was 15 and he was 18. Together, they built a family and shared the joys of raising three children: Bobby, Billy, and Christopher.

Bill had a deep love for the outdoors, finding joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Dianna will forever miss Bill's morning routine of making her coffee and bringing her another cup before he headed out for the day.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 54 years, Dianna, his son Billy, and Crystal Moore, whom he loved like a daughter. He will also be lovingly remembered by his numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Bill is survived by his siblings Bonnie, Alice, and Hubert.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Mae Marris, his sons Bobby and Christopher, his grandson Ryan, and his siblings Jim, NeeCee, Phyllis, and Darlene.

A visitation to celebrate Bill's life will be held at Schaudt Okmulgee Chapel on Monday, March 18, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral ceremony, officiated by Pastor Dale Litsey, will take place at Schaudt Okmulgee Chapel on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Following the ceremony, a graveside service will be held at Okmulgee Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Blake Thorton, Tyler Marris, Danny Taylor, Mark Tolbert, Derrick Geer, Kaleb Swart.
