William Lewis

William (Bill) Wesley Lewis, Sr. was born Tuesday,
February 11,1941 to Clyde and Merytel (Brokaw) Lewis in Frankfort Kansas. He was the twelfth child of thirteen children. When he turn eighteen he enlisted into the United States Airforce, where he served for eight years. He married Lorna Davis in 1970. He moved the family to Goddard, Kansas where they would raise all three of their children Heather. Darla, and William (Billy). They divorced in 1988. William remained in Goddard, Kansas where he raised his three children. He worked for Lear Jet Aircraft for thirty-two years. After Bill retired from Lear Jet Aircraft he had way to much time on his hands and went to work with USD 259 for five year and then retired again. He raised most of his grandchildren before his moved to Okmulgee Oklahoma in 2017. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and his kids. It was his grandchildren that made him most happy and keep him young at heart. During the summer months, everyone who knew him could catch him at the lake BBQing and fishing with his grandchildren and some of their friends. Always laughing and joking around.
He leaves behind his sister Maryann Taylor of Park City, Kansas, daughter Darla Lewis of Oklahoma City, and Son William Lewis, Jr. of Stanta Cruz, New Mexico, grandchildren Jeffery Slusser, Steven Lewis, Shelby Slusser, Justice "Juice" Edwards, Orlondo "Lonny" Wynn, William Lewis lll.
He is proceeded by his parents, daughter Heather Slusser sisters Ilean Zumblen, Veralee Durham, Lois Nichols, Jenny Jefferies, Jane Morrison, Karen Kelly, Helen McCollum, brothers Arland Lewis, Harvey Lewis, and Steven Lewis
A Memorial Service With Last Cast and BBQ will be held at
Lake Afton 25513 West 39th St S, Goddard, Kansas 67052
on Saturday, December 18th 2021 at 1130am.
