William & Betty Knowles

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of William Earl Knowles and Betty Anne Knowles (Raby) announce their passing respectively on October 20th 2022 and October 28th 2022.

William Earl Knowles (Bill) was born to Elmer Earl Knowles and Elsie May Knowles (Brundage) on August 15th 1937 in Columbia MO. Betty Anne Knowles was born to Norman Charlie Raby and Bessie Mae Raby (Tuttle) on 10th December 1939 in Mounds OK. Bill Knowles is predeceased by his father Elmer Knowles, his mother Elsie Knowles and is survived by his sister Ella Ebel of Denver CO. Betty Knowles is predeceased by her father Norman Raby, her mother Bessie Raby and her brothers Keith Raby and Tommy Raby. She is survived by her sister Sharon Jones of Sapulpa OK.

They will lovingly be remembered by nieces Shelly Snelling, Tamara Morrison, Debbie Wade, Renee Robertson, Kimberly Raby-Harding, Angie Hatfield, Peggy Walker and Sandy Gillespie and nephews Shannon Jones and David Ebel. They will also be dearly missed by sister-in-law Maggie Raby, 8 great nieces, 13 great nephews along with their families and many lifelong friends.

Bill married the love of his life, Betty, in August 1957 and from that point they never left each other’s side. They both had deep faith in Jehovah God and dedicated their lives to their faith.

They both shared a passion for gardening and fishing. As well as a successful photography business Bill worked in sales and Betty in Office Administration. Betty and Bill had many a mealtime visitor due to their famous biscuits and gravy, fish fry dinners and pecan pies. And let’s not forget Bill’s homemade fruit wines.

We all have learned so much from their love, kindness and generosity. They have left a handprint on our hearts.

Memorial Service will be held on November 18th 2022 in the Sapulpa Kingdom Hall at 6.00pm.
