Terry Vernon Moore passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at the age of 76.
Terry was born on February 2, 1950, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to Lonnie and Hazel (Moore) Moore. He grew up in Okmulgee alongside his sisters, Helen, Sue, and Jeannie, and graduated from Okmulgee High School. Following high school, Terry attended Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology (OSUIT) in Okmulgee, where he earned a degree in Culinary Arts.
Terry proudly served his country in the United States military. On December 31, 1970, Terry married the love of his life, Donna Grant. Together they shared more than five decades of love, partnership, and cherished memories while raising their family in Okmulgee.
For many years, Terry worked at OSUIT in Facility Maintenance, where he was known for his dedication, dependability, and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he was a talented craftsman who found great joy in woodworking and restoring old furniture. Terry had an eye for detail and loved bringing worn pieces back to life, carefully stripping, refinishing, and preserving their character. His woodworking projects included handcrafted tissue box holders, birdhouses, tic-tac-toe boards, Afghan stands, and many other creations that reflected his skill and creativity.
Terry also enjoyed attending estate sales, always searching for unique treasures and furniture pieces that could be transformed through his craftsmanship. His patience, talent, and pride in his work left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Hazel Moore; his beloved wife, Donna Moore; and his sisters, Helen Moore and Sue Moore.
Terry leaves many loving memories with his daughter, Kari Tunley and husband Maurice Tunley; his son, Terry "Kyle" Moore; his sister, Jeannie; his granddaughter, MiKayla Hammon and husband Dylan Hammon; along with many other loving relatives and a host of friends who will cherish his memory.
