Tanner Jefferson Collins

February 26, 2001 - October 26, 2025

Fordoche, Louisiana

Tanner Jefferson Collins, 24, of Fordoche, Louisiana, left this world far too soon on October 26, 2025. Born on February 26, 2001, Tanner was a bright, bold, and unforgettable soul. He was loud, flamboyant, and unapologetically himself. You either loved him instantly or you didn't know him well enough yet.

Tanner was the beloved son of Ashley Collins (Andrew Enfinger)and Jeffrey Collins (Chaney Dupre) and the proud brother of Ashton "Jake" Collins, Cole Collins, Carmen Brignac, Lane Benton, Kyle Collins, and Jules Mangosing. He was deeply loved by his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Stafford, and his paternal grandparents, Larry and Kim Collins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Alton Lionel Stafford, Great grandfathers Horace Collins and Howard Ricard Jr. and will also be remembered by his great-grandmothers, Geraldine Naylor and Rose Collins, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who cherished him.

Tanner's life was not without struggle. Like many, he battled depression and addiction; challenges that touch not just one person, but an entire family. His journey reminds us all of how deeply important compassion, understanding, and unwavering love are. To those still fighting these battles, Tanner's family wishes to say: Your life matters deeply, and there is always hope, always a way forward. To the families supporting a loved one through those struggles, please hold on, keep loving them, and never give up.

Though his time here was short, Tanner's courage, humor, and big hearted spirit will continue to echo in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be remembered for the light he brought, the love he gave, and the lessons he leaves behind.

A memorial service will be held and announced at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations or acts of kindness in Tanner's memory to organizations that support addiction recovery and mental health awareness.
