Tammy Bruner, age 55, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, surrounded by those who loved her.
Born on December 6, 1969, to Ralph Boles and Linda England, Tammy lived a life rooted in compassion, generosity, and unwavering dedication to helping others. Her heart for children and young people was unmatched. Over the years, she fostered many children, ran a daycare, and supported teen outreach programs and nonprofit work with tireless devotion. Tammy often said she was "focused on the purpose," and she lived those words-always choosing service, always choosing love.
Tammy found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved swimming, spending time with her family and friends, and trying her luck at the casino-especially playing the slots. She had a special fondness for the color pink. Her laughter and energy were contagious, and her presence made every gathering brighter.
One of Tammy's greatest achievements was the creation of the Focus on Purpose Community Center-a place of hope and healing dedicated to helping people overcome life's adversities. Her vision was clear and powerful, anchored in one of her favorite quotes by Rick Warren:
"Knowing your purpose gives your life meaning, simplicity, focus and motivation. It also prepares you for eternity."
Tammy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ralph and Linda, and her son, Michael Boles, whose memory she carried tenderly in her heart every day.
She is survived by her devoted sister, Kimberley Lucas and husband Bobby of Mounds, Oklahoma, her stepdaughter, Yeseiña Morales; and her granddaughter, Jailee Valez. She also leaves behind countless children and families whose lives were forever touched by her kindness.
Tammy's legacy is one of fierce love, quiet strength, and boundless generosity. She will be deeply missed, but the warmth and care she shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
At the family's request, memorial donations may be made to Clarehouse in Tulsa in honor of Tammy, in lieu of flowers.
