Sue Ellen Finks

Jun 8, 1950 — Oct 25, 2026

Sue Ellen Finks passed away on October 25, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 8, 1950, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Sue graduated from U.S. Grant High School and went on to attend Oklahoma State University and Central State University. It was at Central State that she met the love of her life, Richard Finks, and the two were married shortly thereafter. Sue dedicated 34 years of service to Walmart before retiring at the age of 65.

Sue had a passion for sports and enjoyed talking about them with anyone, especially her son, Stephen. She was a devoted Oklahoma State University Cowboys and OKC Thunder fan and loved cheering on her favorite teams. A woman of Baptist faith, Sue found joy in singing hymns and sharing nursery rhymes with her great-grandchildren. She especially loved Christmas and took great pleasure in collecting beautiful Fenton Glass pieces.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Richard Finks; and her sister, Nancy Thompson.

She leaves behind her son, Stephen Finks, and his wife, Arlene; her grandchildren, Chelsea Finks and Matt Eddy; and her four great-grandchildren, Kadien Piercy, Kingston Piercy, Ava Asbery, and Rylynn Coleman. Her family was the center of her life, and the memories they shared will be treasured for generations to come.
