Stephen R. Apenbrinck "Bone"

Stephen Apenbrinck, 56, of Owasso, Oklahoma, passed away on July 8, 2026, at Hillcrest Medical Center. Born on November 25, 1969, in St. Louis, Missouri. Stephen's life was a tapestry of kindness, dedication, and love for his family and passions.

Stephen was the beloved son of the late Ronald and Judith Apenbrinck. He graduated from The School of the Osage in Lake Ozark, Missouri, in 1988. From there, he began to cultivate his love for the outdoors and nautical adventures. He started his career as a boat detailer at Port Arrowhead from 1993 until 2000. Moved to Florida in 2000 and worked alongside his father at Dick Norris GMC. He then began working at Sun Toyota, fulfilling his passion and devotion for detailing cars. He had a fascination with lighthouses and had a large collection. He also enjoyed collecting vintage cars. Stephen's dedication and precision were evident in everything he did.

His family was the center of his world. Though preceded by his loving and admiring parents, Stephen's memory will forever be cherished by his sisters Deanna Jacobs (Trent) and Deborah "Debbie" Okilee, who were pillars of strength and love throughout his life. He also leaves behind a legacy of love with his nieces Shelby Burks, Norah Okilee, and Nadia Okilee; his nephew Austin Burks; and his great nephew Brayden Apenbrinck; former brother in law Stephen "Steve" Burks, who will carry forward his spirit and passion for life. Stephen will forever be remembered for his warmth and generosity.

Stephen's heart was as vast as the waters he adored. He shared a special bond with his sister, and some of his happiest days were spent shopping together and enjoying dinner outings, creating memories in the everyday moments they shared. These simple routines became treasured traditions, filled with laughter, conversation and the comfort of being with someone who deeply understood him.

Stephen's heart was extended beyond people and collections. He was a devoted animal lover as well. His beloved dogs and cat were constant companions who brought him joy, comfort and companionship. They were part of his everyday life, each one holding a special place in his heart.

Stephen's legacy lives on in the hearts he touched, the family he cherished, and the gentle strength he embodied everyday.
