Sheila Kay Sullivan, 71, of Bixby, Oklahoma, passed away on June 2, 2026.
Born in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Edgar and Dorothy Sullivan, Sheila spent her early years in California, attending school in Shasta until her senior year when she returned to Oklahoma. She graduated from Haskell High School and went on to build a life marked by hard work, dedication, and love for her family.
Sheila worked as a dispatcher for the Bixby Police Department before beginning a career at the Ford Glass Plant in Broken Arrow. After 25 years of faithful service, she retired and devoted herself to the people she loved most. A hardworking single mother throughout much of her life, Sheila's greatest joy came from being a grandmother. She treasured every moment spent cooking for, caring for, and making memories with her three beloved grandchildren.
Sheila enjoyed traveling and especially loved taking cruises to the Caribbean. She had a fondness for red roses, enjoyed wearing the perfume "Red," and enjoyed Bald Eagles. Those who knew her will remember her strong work ethic, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Dorothy Sullivan; her niece, Nicole Sullivan; and her aunt and uncle, Francine and Felix Arnaz .
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Sheryl Brantley and husband Kevin of Bixby; her three grandchildren, Tyler, Alexis, and Alyssa; her sister, Lynetric "Tiny" Rider and husband Bob of Coweta; and her nieces and nephews, Carmel Seals, Dustin Sullivan, Murrill Rider, and Shasta Tudor, along with many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Shelia's love, strength, and dedication to her family will remain a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
