Shantaben Patel

Shantaben Ramanlal Patel passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, at the age of 89. She was born on October 1, 1936, in India to the late Govanbhai Patel and Sitaben Patel.

Shantaben lived a full and vibrant life, spending more than 20 years in Panama, where she continued to nurture her deep love for family, tradition, and togetherness. She was known for her sweet and loving nature, always greeting others with warmth and kindness.

Shantaben took great pride in her appearance and loved dressing up and looking her best. One of her greatest joys was when her granddaughter would paint her toes-a simple moment that brought her immense happiness. She adored her grandchildren and was famous for spoiling them, often slipping them money with a smile and a loving reminder to enjoy themselves.

Cooking was one of Shantaben's greatest expressions of love. She especially delighted in preparing meals for her family, bringing everyone together around the table. Her Chicken Biriyani was legendary and remains a cherished favorite that will forever be associated with her love and care.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Ramanlal Patel; her son, Jayantilal Patel, and his wife, Bina; her daughters, Prabha Patel and her husband, Nitin, and Ansuya Patel and her husband, Suresh; and her beloved grandchildren, Priya, Isha, Pinkee, Ritesh, Nehal, and Nealay.

Shantaben's legacy of love, generosity, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A funeral service honoring Shantaben's life will be held on January 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Schaudt Funeral Service Chapel, located at 1329 E. 151st Street, Glenpool, Oklahoma 74033. 

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
