Sandra Kay Benton Bixby, OK

November 12, 1947 - September 4, 2026

On November 12, 1947, a beautiful baby girl was born to Joseph and Emma Frank. They named her Sandra Kay. She was the firstborn child of the couple.

Sandra attended Central High School and graduated in 1967. She was a loving and caring big sister to her siblings. Her father once told her as a young child that she was popular with the elderly because she was caring and inquisitive. Sandra always asked questions about how and why things happened, a curiosity that remained part of who she was throughout her life.

Sandra lived in Tulsa before moving to Texas for several years. While living in Texas, she had a dream in which she envisioned moving back to Tulsa to care for her parents and start her own business. She followed that calling and returned home.

Sandra went on to become an entrepreneur, owning and operating the first Black female-owned formal wear business within the community. She successfully operated the business for nine years before health issues forced her to retire. During her years as a business owner, Sandra met many wonderful people, attended countless memorable events, and hosted several wonderful Mardi Gras Ball events.

Sandra enjoyed traveling, hosting family gatherings, watching movies, attending comedy shows, fishing, and spending time with the people she loved. Above all, she lived out her faith as a devoted Christian.

She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Sandra's beautiful smile could light up a room, her comforting words had a way of putting others at ease, and her beautiful spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Frank; her mother, Emma Frank; and her brothers, Daniel Frank, Herb Frank, and Charles Frank.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Teshonna Walters; Edward Frazier and wife, Christine; Brent Frazier and wife, Ruby; and John Hill Jr. and wife, Ta'Nise.

Sandra is also survived by her siblings, Audric Frank and wife, Teresa; Edna Frank; Floyd Frank and wife, Carlas; Ricky Frank; Tammie Peters and husband, Marvin; Carl Frank and wife, Jenny; Kathy High; Martin Frank; Mike Frank; Patty Cotton and husband, Eric; and Vicky Bouie and husband, Thaddeus.

She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Tony Frazier, Brendaria Newton, Talana Frazier, Zoe Todd, Zach Frazier, Quinton Hill, and Madison Hill; her beloved loved one, Clarence Abair; along with a host of great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life honoring Sandra will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Schaudt's Glenpool-Bixby Funeral Service, 1329 East 151st Street South, Glenpool, Oklahoma 74033.

A reception will immediately follow from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Wine Room at Schaudt's Glenpool-Bixby Funeral Service.
