Sabrina Christine Potter

October 18, 1976 — April 27, 2026

Sabrina Christine Potter-a daughter, sister, wife, friend, devoted mother to her fur babies, and a bright light in the lives of so many.

Sabrina was born on October 18, 1976, and from the very beginning, her life was nothing short of extraordinary. When she was born, doctors told our family she might only live three years. But Sabrina never lived her life according to limits or expectations. She lived with strength, determination, and a quiet defiance that carried her through 49 beautiful and meaningful years.

She showed us all what true resilience looks like.

Sabrina was deeply loved-not only by her family, but by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She had a remarkable way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Her presence brought comfort, and her kindness left a lasting impression on every life she touched.

She was incredibly dedicated to her work and her purpose. After earning her master's degree from Northeastern State University, she began working at Grand Mental Health in 2017, where she faithfully served others throughout the remainder of her career. For Sabrina, this was never just a job-it was a calling. Her compassion did not end when her sessions ended. She carried it into every aspect of her life.

She helped people face their fears. She stood beside them through anxiety and uncertainty. She gave them the tools to build stronger, healthier lives and relationships. She did all of this with patience, empathy, and genuine care.

The same love she gave her clients, she also gave to her family and friends.

Sabrina was preceded in death by her stepfather, Dale Turney; her grandmother, Juanita Silcox; her grandparents, Cherry A. Sutton and M.C. "Curley" Sutton; her grandfather, James Forester; her uncles, Jack Blue and Joe Silcox; her aunt, Karen Sue Stanley; her cousin, Bridgett Christine Silcox Jones; and her cousin, John Ray Blue.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Gregg Potter, and her four beloved fur babies: Sigmund, Adler, Amilee, and Leah. She is also survived by her grandparents, Edward and Sharon Silcox; her mother, Pat Turney; her father, Darrell Lee Silcox Sr.; her brothers, Darrell Lee Silcox Jr. and Roy Norris; her sister, Rebekah Cunningham; and countless extended family members, friends, colleagues, and clients whose lives were forever touched by her love and compassion.

To us, she was more than someone we loved. She was a bright light-steady, warm, and impossible to replace.

Though she is no longer physically with us, her impact remains. It lives on in the way we treat one another, in the compassion she taught us to show, and in the strength and grace she demonstrated every day of her life.

We will carry her memory forward in our actions, our thoughts, and our hearts.

Sabrina defied the odds from the very beginning. In doing so, she gave this world far more love, kindness, and meaning than anyone could have imagined.

She is deeply loved, forever remembered, and profoundly missed.
