Ryan Temple Geisler

Ryan Temple Geisler (43) of Tulsa, OK left this earth on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, to go live in his heavenly home with his Savior Jesus Christ. The cause of his death is pending. It is difficult to write of his parting so soon; however, we take comfort believing he is in the presence of God's perfect love and the Holy Spirit's perfect peace. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13; Joel 2:32) "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." (II Corinthians 5:8) 

Ryan was born the second child of two sons in Katy, Texas on November 22, 1982. His father and stepmother are Michael Eugene Geisler and Sue Jean Fitzpatrick Geisler of Montgomery, Texas. His grandfather is Mickey Temple Geisler of Texas; his grandmother was Martha Ann Geisler. She preceded him in death. He loved his family and looked forward to visiting, especially spending time with his grandpa and going out on the lake in the fishing boat with his dad. His grandfather and father were pillars of strength in Ryan's life. He was forever grateful for the love, discipline, boundaries, and structure his stepmother brought into his life. In recent years he felt the desire to glean as much wisdom as he could from family patriarchs and matriarchs.

His mother and stepfather are Angela Rose and Walter Goodin of Tulsa, Oklahoma. His grandmother is Carlene Rose Bradford of Lake Village, Arkansas. Ryan's older brother, Michael Aaron Geisler, preceded him in death. In Ryan's last days he spent considerable time taking care of the needs of his mother and stepfather. These tasks included but were not limited to cleaning, purging unnecessary household items, organizing, reviewing and researching resources and benefits, helping take care of them in illness and driving them to doctor visits. His mother and stepfather were very supportive of Ryan's ministry through prayer, encouragement, and attendance at various ministry opportunities. His grandmother, a very spiritual person, prayed much for Ryan as well.

Ryan leaves behind his wife of seven years, Gloria Lynn Geisler and two stepchildren, Elijah Daniel (22) and Glory Hope (18) Mercier. Being a stepfather can be very challenging, but Ryan navigated it in a most gracious way that strengthened the bond between the children and all the adults in their lives. He fully understood the importance of both biological parents and supported father, David Mercier, in his role. In a very beautiful way, he promoted peace, unity and a loving family. He was faithful, a good provider and not only kept up with the family residence, but also with two rented houses. Ryan and Gloria shared a love for God and a desire to serve Him. They were used together in pastoral roles, prayer, financial generosity, teaching, worship, and leadership at Calvary Messianic Congregation, and wherever other doors opened. Their dance ministries included both interpretive and Hebrew dance, and teachings that brought understanding to the culture and rhythms of Hebrew roots.

He also leaves behind, on his father's side: twin stepbrothers Kyle and Ethan Sleezer; second cousins: Ken & Rachel Johnson & family, Ken & Judith Wilson & family and Tom Wilson; Aunt Marsha Neese, Great Uncle and Great Aunt Bob & Marilyn Wilson and their children Rob Wilson and Beca Glenn. On his mother's side: Uncles Jonathan Bradford, Carlon Bradford, Carl Michael, Franklin Jones and Aunt Carlena Faith. On his wife's side: mother-in-law Gloria Rose Ladanyi, sisters-in-law Maria Gunter & family and Lisa Dronet & family, and brother-in-law Frankie Ladanyi, wife Brittany & family. His father-in-law Frank Zigmont Ladanyi preceded him in death.

Ryan loved his animals, and they loved him. His dogs were named "Lucky" and "Bella". His cats were named "Kitty" and "Blair". He also fostered an abused dog named "Remy" until a good home was found for him. Can you imagine the excitement of the three animals that preceded him in death when Ryan arrived in heaven? What a joy-filled thought!

Ryan was extremely dedicated to Boomerang Printing where he worked for 15 years. He felt very close to the owner, Tom Wilson, his second cousin. He admired Tom very much and often talked about him and Boomerang to anyone who would listen. He was thankful for his job and training. Ryan worked with other family members also, but the entire staff was actually a family to him. He was skilled, productive, extremely organized, accomplished a lot in any one given day, yet a humble learner continually striving for personal improvement. He had a desire for his wife and stepchildren to work with him in this business. Even though he functioned proficiently in all areas of the business, the last position he held was overseeing the Bindery Department. Ryan had a funny nickname "The Dog". He acquired this name because, like a dog will not let go of a bone, nor would he let go of a job once he had a hold of it. He considered this job as part of God's ministry for him, so he put his whole heart and soul into it. Ryan aspired to be a part of running the company one day and had a vision to keep it faith-centered and family-operated. There was a certain angst however, because he loved church ministry and knew God had a call upon his life. He was frustrated that he did not have more time for the church. He felt torn between work and church ministry and eventually must choose between the two because he could not figure out a way to do both as he desired.

Ryan received his Doctorate degree in Theology from CMC's International Bible University and International Messianic Institute under Doctors Rabbi Avraham and Rebbetzin Irmeli Libertus. He was an eloquent speaker and a gifted teacher. As previously mentioned, he had a wonderful gift for Hebrew dance which he did with his wife and CMC Hebrew dance teams over the years. Many would say that his most unique gift was blowing the shofar (antelope's horn). He was recognized to carry it with him just in case he might feel the Spirit guiding him to minister with it somewhere. One very special moment was when God prompted him to blow it in Washington DC where it was believed to be of great consequence for needed change. He loved the Jewish people and supported Israel with prayers, finances, and defending/advocating for them. He was bold to speak out against antisemitism and to stand for what was biblically true. Ryan had the privilege of teaching believers in Pakistan through video ministry on occasion. He participated in feeding the homeless in downtown Tulsa, went on one mission trip to Ontario, Canada, under Pastor Kenneth Kingsley of Kitchener Tamil Church and financially supported two orphans through Compassion International for over a decade. He was ordained as a minister twice. Once was under Calvary Messianic Congregation and then again under What Would Jesus Do Ministries by Junegrid Baker. Lastly, he enjoyed fellowship at Mission Church under Pastor Jerry Riley through monthly men's breakfast/bible studies and through services when able to attend there in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.

Sadly, Ryan struggled with addictions from a young age and battled these demons a lot of his life. He did not accept it as status quo but was continually learning ways to see them defeated. One very helpful place for this was in the successful completion of the Wings of Freedom program under the leadership of Pastor Dixie Pebworth at God's Shining Light Church in Tulsa. There he encountered the power of God and was able to live portions of his life in greater freedom. At GSL he served in the children' s ministry, youth ministry, and media ministry. He had the opportunity to become equipped to counsel others through Haven Ministries under Larry and Donna Fawcett. It's important to remember here that according to the scriptures, we live in a spiritual war zone where we don't wrestle against flesh and blood, but against dark forces that are relentless. Life is also a classroom where we learn to apply the things we learn through increasingly greater challenges. At the end of every life there will always be more to learn and more to apply effectively. Although Ryan continued to struggle with the addictions, that doesn't negate all the utterly beautiful ways he served the Lord through his family, his church, and community. We trust his legacy will inspire many with hope of what can be accomplished as a disciple of Jesus, will motivate others to be life-longlearners and will point to the joy of the endless ways one can experience the love of God and express that creatively. Ryan truly demonstrated the fruits of love and goodness. He was a loyal brother in the Lord who gave freely and sacrificially. He was resourceful, knowledgeable and a great communicator. Ryan was loved by many and will be greatly missed. We are proud of him. We honor and celebrate him today and always.
