Those who knew Roy Tylor Baker, even just a little bit, "lost a shining light in their lives." With deepest sorrow, we announce the sudden loss of a beautiful soul, Roy Tylor Baker, age 29 in Glenpool, Oklahoma early on Saturday November 26th.
Tylor was born in Rogers, Arkansas and is the beloved son of Shelly Rector and Scott Baker. Tylor will be missed everyday by his Mother, Shelly Rector, his Father, Scott Baker and wife, Sherry Baker, brothers Michael Anthony Burrell and wife, Katie Burrell, Cory Scott Baker, Andrew Lee Baker and wife, Rayven Baker. Along with his Grandmother "Mamaw" Connie Moore and Grandfather Jack Moore, Grandfather "Pops" Richard Baker, Aunt "Suzyrup" Sarah Farman, Uncle Troy Farman and Aunt Melinda Burrell. Including Aunts Joyce Smith, Linda Norvill, Bonnie Reusch, Daisy Christine Price, Jolene Barron, Uncles Vaughn, Kendell Burrell and Richard Parrott. Tylor was blessed with two beautiful children that he loved dearly. His son, Lukas Lee Baker, 9 and his daughter, Rainlee Jean Baker, 6. Tylor had many others that loved him and shared his life with, his step-sibling Dallas, Dalton and Tag and his loving cousins, many great friends, and Tylor's girlfriend that he loved deeply, Shelby Husman and her family the Husmans.
All would say that Tylor had the hardest work ethic of any hard worker they ever meet. He was currently employed by Cherokee builders, where he wore many hats. Tylor loved his job. Tylor loved sports and country music; Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson and rapper; Lil' Baby. While in school he accomplished State Championships. He played football, baseball, and wrestling for Glenpool, Jenks, and East Tulsa. He competed in the Cliffkeen National while in Vegas for wrestling. Tylor played football with the All-Star Team, Tulsa Talons and helped win a tournament championship. He won the IFNC Championship in seventh grade for Jenks White. His passions were being a cowboy, riding horses, and spending time with his three brothers. Both Tylor and the love of his life, Shelby Husman, had lots of plans for their future and was on a great path to achieve them.
From Shelby Husman:
While attending school, Tylor met Shelby Rae, who became high school sweethearts. After school they moved on and began their own life journey. Years later they both reunited with the same powerful love they once knew. With the strength of Jesus, they were able to move mountains together with their soul and energy being a perfect match. A true fairy tale of love. Tylor worked hard to become the best version of himself. He embraced life and all around him. This, she loved about him and will miss now that he is gone. Shelby will remember Tylor's contagious laugh, that he never met a stranger and the way he could make anyone smile, even on her worst days. Tylor was an inspiration to Shelby and he will always be in her heart and all that knew him. He was truly loved by her and everyone.
We will find peace knowing that Tylor is in his loving Grandmother's, Debra Gene Baker, arms now. Tylor, we LOVE and MISS you so much. Our lives have been changed forever and we will find peace knowing that you are with our loving, heavenly father that you so loved and held deeply to your heart and soul. If Tylor could give a message to all he loved he would say, "Spread the word of God, have the faith to believe in God and put God in your life" and "Cowboy Up" Edit version.
