Ronald Dean Driskell, Born October 22, 1959. The only son born to Ronald Dee and Bertie Jane Driskell.
He is survived by 2 sisters Deborah Jane and Ronni Eva Rose. One Sister preceded him in death Cheryl Ann. Five nephews, three nieces, and three great nieces.
He liked to teach his nieces and nephews about gardening, riding them around on his antique tractor. Passing on his love for flowers and vegetables.
Dean loved good music. Neil Young was his all time favorite artist. Recently he got into Miranda Lambert and Jason Aldean.
Loved the Guitar solos like Jimi Hendrix.
I introduced him to the blues, Jo Bonamassa, Kenny Wayne Shepherd. We listened for hours and exchanged artists we admired.
We were very close as children, he taught baby sis to drive a 2 ton flatbed truck while he and his friend threw hay. We spent countless hours under the night sky, while he showed me the constellations. He would scare me with tall tales of UFOs. Walking the creek beds looking for fossils, cutting down Christmas trees in the snow.
He protected me, watched over me,and teased me unmercifully. But most of all he loved me. He wasn't one to say it, but his actions said it all. In the passed months, he started saying it, when I would leave his hospital room he would say " I love you sis".
He spent many times with his Mama, touring gardens talking about garden ideas. Dean learned to weld from Daddy, and even surpassed the teacher in the skill. Dean graduated from Cleveland High School class of 1977. He went to Vo-Tech to learn many skills just because he loved to learn. He was a master carpenter, just like his Grandpa Driskell.
Rest in Peace Bubba.
May your garden never burn in the sun.
May the Guitar solos never end.
May you find that song that lifts your soul.
