Ronnie Lee Baker

Ronnie Lee Baker was born on July 11, 1954 to Agnes Irene (Burch) Baker and Eddie Lee Baker in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a resident of Mounds, Oklahoma. Ron stepped into paradise at the age of 63 surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at St John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Ron attended Western Hills High School and after graduation enrolled in the University of Cincinnati, where he received his bachelor's degree. He married his true love, Paula Diann McCracken on January 17, 1976 in Erlanger, Kentucky. His love for leading a choir began at the age of sixteen years old. He held a variety of positions over the years, such as, the Bethlehem Youth Choir leader and member of the Singing Churchmen for more than twenty years. His passion as a worship pastor gifted him to serve in many churches, including the following; Suburban Baptist Church in Moore, Oklahoma, Trinity Baptist Church in Moore, Oklahoma, Friendship Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, Suncrest Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, New Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, First Baptist Church in Glenpool, Oklahoma for twelve years, and his most current position at Faith Church in Glenpool, Oklahoma for eight years. While he lived in Cincinnati, he served as a police officer for eight years. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family, and his devotion and dedication to the people of his community was unmatched. He will be remembered as a huge University of Kentucky fan, his infectious smile, his orneriness, love of family, love of people and his faith in God.


Ron is preceded in death by his brother; David Wayne Baker and his brother-in-law; Jeff Meyer.

He is survived by his wife; Paula Baker, parents; Agnes Irene and Eddie Lee Baker, children; Ronnie Lee Baker II and his wife Ashlee, Alesha Faye Cotter and her husband Eric, Randy John Talmidge Baker and his wife Katie, grandchildren; Madison Elaine Baker, Maiya Eden Baker, Ronnie Lee Baker III, Josiah David James Baker, Lucas Jeffery Dale Baker, Mercy Eliana Baker, Maizie Emmaline Baker, Margo Eliza Baker, Silas Joshua Talmidge Baker, Gideon Keller Graham Baker, Darius Isaiah Baker, Makiah Jaylee Cotter, Gabby Lynn Baker, Zoie Diann Baker, Lucy Jo Baker, great-grandchild; Isabelle Renee Ann Webb, siblings; Jeffery Dale Baker and wife Erin, Kim Anderson and husband Rick, Linda Meyer, along with extended family, many caring friends, and acquaintances.

Memorial donations may be made to Mercy Missions II in memory of Ron.

Visitation is from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Faith Church, 1901 W. 171st Street, Glenpool, Oklahoma 74033.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Faith Church, 1901 W. 171st Street, Glenpool, Oklahoma 74033. Pastor Toby Youngblood and son Ronnie Baker II will officiate.
