Robert 'Bob' M. Powell

Robert €œBob€ M. Powell age 82 passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mr. Powell was born March 26, 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to John and Katherine (Owens) Powell. He attended schools in the Philadelphia area and on November 3, 1942 he enlisted into United States Air Force. While in the service he was an aircraft/engine mechanic. On January 29, 1946 he received an honorable discharge from the Air Force and continued his interest in the aircraft industry and started working for American Airlines.
In Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 4, 1946 Bob married, Dorothy M. Brewer and together they started a family and later moved to California while pursuing his career in aviation with American Airlines. Mr. Powell was a senior mechanic and retired in 1983 and returned to Oklahoma.
Mr. Powell resided in Sapulpa for the last 23 years; he was an active member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Sapulpa, Oklahoma; he loved to fish and liked working in his yard in his spare time.
Bob Powell was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Powell is survived by his wife: Dorothy M. Powell of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; four sons: Jim Powell and his wife, Rebecca of Aloha, Oregon; John W. Powell and his wife, Gayle of Hesperia, California; Bob Powell and his wife, Voni of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Mike Powell and his wife, Katrina of Grants Pass, Oregon; one sister: Delores Garson and her husband, Walt of Trenton, New Jersey along with eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. a.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 1125 S. Brenner Road, Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
