Ricky David Harless, age 75, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025.
Ricky was born on September 9, 1950, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Johnny Harless and Ester Day.
He was preceded in death by his loving dog PeeWee, his parents, Johnny Harless and Ester Day; his son, Ricky Harless Jr.; brothers Kevin Harless and Gary Harless; sister Pam Hollinger; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Ricky is survived by his son, Anthony Harless and wife Debbie; his daughter, Tammy Kirk; brothers Denver Harless and wife Jesse, Doug Cheesman and wife Tabby, and Stacy Harless; his grandchildren, Joseph Kirk, Shelby McFarland and husband JD, Anthony Harless, and Kacy Harless; his great-grandchildren, Jimmie and Jalen McFarland, and Jordan Harless; his daughter-in-law, Athena Harless; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Ricky was a simple, easy-going man with a laid-back spirit and a heart full of generosity. He was always willing to help anyone in need-without hesitation. He never complained, never said no even when he probably should have, and lived his life with a quiet, giving nature that touched everyone around him.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, camping, and tinkering with lawn mowers. Mechanicing and welding came naturally to him, and he was known for always having a project in the works. Ricky loved westerns, trips to the casino, and cherished every moment spent with his grandkids and great-grandkids. His loyal companion, PeeWee, was always by his side.
Known affectionately as Papa, Daddy, Pa, Wormy, and Old Papa, Ricky will be remembered for his kindness, his steady presence, and the love he shared so freely.
