Richard Forrest Todd of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the age of 95.

Richard was born on May 12, 1930, in Hartland, Wisconsin to Forrest and Elnora (Anstey) Todd. He was raised on a dairy farm in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin and proudly served in the United States Air Force. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics from Whitewater College (University of Wisconsin) in 1954.

While in college, Richard met Annelise Weber. They married and had four children: Lisa, Rick, Eric and David. He started his career as an Aerospace Engineer for Rocketdyne in Los Angeles, California and spent the remainder of his career working for the Boeing Aerospace Company in the Missile Systems Division. He worked on the Saturn V rockets for the NASA Apollo Moon Program, the Minuteman InterContinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) System, and ended his career working on the Peacekeeper ICBM System in Seattle, Washington where he retired at age 62.

He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a true adventurer whose job took him to 10 different states, some multiple times and even lived in New Zealand with his family. In retirement he traveled internationally and spent his summers in Wyoming and Colorado. He loved music, camping, working outdoors, restoring furniture, reading and writing. He also found great joy in watching his great-grandchildren play and laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Elnora Todd; his former spouse of 33 years, Annelise; his siblings Dawn, Joan, and Jean; his granddaughter, Natalie Todd and great granddaughters, Elsie and Lilly Jacob.

He is survived by his four children: Lisa Wagnon of Cheyenne, WY; Richard II (wife Marjorie) of Snoqualmie, WA; Eric (wife Cindy) of Cheyenne, WY; and David (wife Kristine) of Tulsa, OK; eight grandchildren, Richard III, Forrest, Jessica, Andrew, Michelle, Marie, Marcus and Matthew; and fourteen great grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nephews and nieces. Richard was a member of St. James Church in Tulsa, OK.

He will be greatly missed and has left a legacy for generations to come.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 10:30am at St. James Church, 5050 East 111th St. S, Tulsa, OK 74137.
