Reba Helen Lemieux

Reba Lemieux, 85, of Henryetta, OK passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2010 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Reba was born in Dickinson Center, New York on September 17, 1924 to the late Donald W. Richards and Beatrice J. Jesmer Richards. She attended a country school in the Dickinson area and graduated as a Registered Nurse from Hepburn Hospital in Ogdensburg, New York in 1945. She was Head Nurse at the Henryetta Hospital in Henryetta at retirement. Reba married Joseph LeMieux on October 30, 1945 at the St. Mary’s Cathedral in Ogdensburg, NY. She and Joe lived in Bradenton, Florida after retirement, but she returned to her prior home in Henryetta, OK after becoming ill. Joe preceded her in death in May of 2004. She was also preceded in death by her brother Andrew Richards in 2009. Reba is survived by her children: Michele H. Nolte and husband David of Arlington, WA, Patrick Lemieux and wife Janice of Waco, KY, Joseph LeMieux, Jr. of Okmulgee, OK, & Mark LeMieux and wife Kathy of Henryetta, OK; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Dorothy Jandrew of Nicholville, NY, Winona Marshall of Moira, NY, & Donna Chambers of Winthrop, NY; 2 brothers: Philip Richards of Amherst, NY & Bernard Richards of Brushton, NY; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Burial of cremains will be in Bay Pines National Cemetery in Bay Pines, Florida at a later date that will be decided by the family. Services provided by the Shurden Funeral Home of Henryetta.
