Phyllis Ann Bartholomew was born on January 9, 1934, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Jack O. Braswell Sr. and Sybil Braswell. She was preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother, Jack Braswell Jr.
Throughout her life, Phyllis pursued a variety of endeavors. She was a business owner, a master potter at Johnson Atelier in Tulsa, and, for many years, a devoted Pet Nanny. Her artistic talent and craftsmanship were reflected in her pottery, while her work caring for animals reflected her deep love and compassion for them.
Phyllis loved the Lord and shared her faith with others. Her faith was an important part of her life and the way she connected with those around her.
A loyal friend with a generous heart, Phyllis also volunteered at the Pet Aid thrift shop, giving her time to support a cause close to her heart. Animals were among her greatest loves. She cared deeply for every animal entrusted to her as the Pet Nanny, and her own beloved beagles held a particularly special place in her life.
Phyllis will be lovingly remembered by her dear friends, whose lives were touched by her friendship, her talents, her faith, and her love for animals.
Phyllis will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, alongside her beloved parents and brother.
May she rest in the peace and presence of the Lord she loved.
