Philip Jennings Dennis

May 23, 1939 — May 31, 2026

Philip "Phil" Jennings Dennis passed away, leaving behind a legacy of adventure, craftsmanship, and determination.

Phil moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he founded Lady Bug Lawn Service and became well known for his hard work and dedication.

He was deeply involved in the hot air ballooning community as both a pilot and chase crew member. Together with his wife, Karen, he shared a love of ballooning, and the two spent countless hours sewing, weaving, and building their own hot air balloon, which they proudly named "Maybee." Phil never shied away from adventure. In addition to his passion for ballooning, he enjoyed scuba diving and exploring the world from both above and below.

After Karen's passing, Phil found companionship with his life partner, Maribeth Gunny, with whom he cherished and shared many happy years until her passing.

Phil is survived by his three children (in sert names) Niece Stefanie Owens and other family members and friends who will remember him for his humor, independent spirit, ingenuity, and love of adventure.

He will be remembered for the life he built, the skies he traveled, and the many lives he touched along the way.
