Emblem

Paul Albert Chorbajian, a Navy veteran, skilled aircraft mechanic, devoted father, grandfather, and beloved brother, passed away on March 24, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 69 years old.

Born on May 31, 1955, in Huntington, New York, Paul was the eldest son of Paul and Etta May (Crowley) Chorbajian. From a young age, he was a social butterfly and something of a rascal-traits that would shine throughout his life. He loved striking up conversations with anyone nearby and, during his time here on earth, truly never met a stranger. Whether donning his Canadian tuxedos or blasting music while driving fast, Paul was undeniably a unique character.

Paul served his country honorably in the United States Navy, where his love for aviation deepened. After his military service, he continued working with American Airlines as an aircraft mechanic and flight inspector-a career that reflected both his dedication and remarkable skill. He had a deep respect for flight and was fascinated by mechanics. Constantly tinkering from the time he was a boy, Paul could fix just about anything if he set his mind to it.

Beyond his career, Paul was a family man who adored his children and especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his children-William Chorbajian, (Lori Dowell), Ashley McIntosh, (James McIntosh), Rachel Chorbajian, (William House)-who, along with their families, will carry on his legacy with pride and love. Paul was the proud grandfather of nine beautiful grandchildren, who lovingly called him "Pop-Pop," a nickname passed down and reminiscent of his own cherished "Poppy."

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother, Peter Chorbajian. He is also remembered by his surviving siblings: Carol Chorbajian, Judith Chorbajian, Mary Etta Chorbajian, Philip Chorbajian, and Anne Chorbajian (Erik DePol), as well as his ten loving nieces and nephews.

Paul's unique presence, steady hands, and wicked sense of humor will be deeply missed. His loved ones mourn his passing and celebrate the life of a man who lived with a deep and unwavering love for his family and friends.
