Orville Blevins

April 26, 1911 — October 1, 2004

Orville Blevins, 93, passed away Friday, October 1, 2004 at his home in Bixby, OK surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Blevins was born April 26, 1911 in Braggs, Oklahoma; attended Sellers School on Sellers Mountain before meeting the love of his life, Helen Brown. He married Helen December 24, 1944 in Eufaula, OK. He resided in Sand Springs, OK before moving to Bixby in 1986. Mr. Blevins retired from W. C. Norris and spent his retirement years doing what he liked best €œspending time with his family.€ He attended First Baptist Church in Bixby.
Mr. Blevins was preceded in death by both parents: John Blevins, Alice Alcorn Blevins; his dear wife: Helen; 2 brothers: Virgil and Floyd Blevins and 2 sisters: Hazel Marshall and Ella Mae Ballew.
Mr. Blevins is survived by his sons: Richard and his wife, Cathy of Bixby; Jim and his wife, Debbie of Bixby and sister Lorece Hunter of Tupelo, AR. He was the proud grandfather of five grandchildren: Rick Blevins of Muskogee; Joshua Blevins and his wife, Shannon of Salina, KS; David Blevins of Bixby; Rebecca Blevins of Lawrence, KS ; Candice Blevins of Bixby and 1 great grandchild, Sawyer Blevins of Salina, KS.
Pallbearers are: Rick Blevins, Gary Fisher, Roger Moore, Gary Borgart, Doc Brown and Burr Myers
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 4, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Riverview Baptist Church, Bixby, Oklahoma with the Reverend Randy Parks officiating. Committal with be at the Bixby Cemetery.
