Norma Jean Snead

Norma Jean €œCookie€ Snead went to be with her Lord Sunday, May 8, 2005 at St. John Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Norma was born February 11, 1935 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Mac Betsillie and Delilah Checotah Bettsillie. Norma Jean Snead moved to Okmulgee, Oklahoma approximately 20 years ago coming from Oakland, California. She was a retired electronics technician working with computers. Ms. Snead enjoyed collecting photos and autographs; playing with her dogs and cats, painting and she loved music. Norma was a member of the Creek Nation Senior Citizens and a member of Newtown United Methodist Church.
Ms. Snead was preceded in death by her father and mother: Mac Betsillie and Delilah Betsillie. She is survived by her brother and sister: Rick Betsillie and Ruth Betsillie of Tulsa, Oklahoma along with many loving cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Robert Yuponco, Michael Matzinger, David Washington, Don Washington, Jesse Wall, and Greg Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers are Kris Hensley, Ben Checotah, Tommy Checotah, and Clarence Checotah.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 P.M. at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service.
A lunch will be served at 12:00 p.m. at the Newtown United Methodist Church Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Newtown United Methodist Church, Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Reverend H. June Thomas will officiate. Committal with be at Okmulgee Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
