Michael Lee Brown

Michael Lee Brown was born on July 1, 1951. He was the son of Tom Brown and Shirlee (Allen) Hackenberger. He passed from this life on September 27, 2026.

At the age of seven his father married Priscilla (Oxley) Brown. He was raised by them along with his two sisters, Kim and Diane. Mike attended Jenks High School and briefly studied at Oklahoma State University.

He was then drafted into the military, serving four proud years in the U.S. Army. During his service, Mike specialized in working with nuclear warheads. A distinct highlight of his military career was the opportunity to train members of the Israeli military, an achievement he carried with deep pride throughout his life. 

After completing his military service, Mike entered sheet metal apprentice school to join the family business, Tulsa Sheet Metal, alongside his father. He often joked, "I worked on top of every building in Tulsa." He drew the blueprints and installed major HVAC systems for companies across the city, including St. John's Hospital. In 2015, Mike purchased TSM.

Mike's heart was often out on the water in his earlier years. He loved racing of any kind, but high-speed boat racing was his ultimate passion. Over the years, he owned several Top Alcohol Hydro boats. His leadership and love for the sport led him to serve as the Promoter for the Mid America Boat Racers in Chouteau, Oklahoma, a role he proudly held for five years. 

On November 24, 1992, Mike and Patricia were married after being introduced by Mike's Aunt Ruth, just one month earlier. They were united in marriage, beginning a shared life. Patricia had two sons and Mike had two daughters. Together they helped raise a distant family member. The family has grown up into four children and one extended child, six grandchildren and four extended grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

As the years went by and Mike's health declined, he became a man of prayer. He impacted others' lives by sending them texts with words of care.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Brown, and daughter Jaime (Roy) Bongers and grandchildren Bella and Natalie; daughter Amanda Painter and grandchild Lyndsey (Justin) Knight and great grandchildren Lisa and Lilith and grandchild James; step son Mathew (Crystal) Love and grandchildren Levi and Asher; step son Rusty (Amy) Havel; extended daughter Angela (Thomas) Wickson and grandchild Derek (Hope) Marshall and great grandchild Adley and grandchildren Jayden (Kaitlin) Rudloff, Trey Lee and Wyatt Wickson; and siblings Teresa Nunn, Warren Robertson, Kimberlee Winn and Diane Downing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Priscilla Brown and Shirlee Hackenberger, his brother, Randy Brown, and his daughter, Lisa Dawn Brown.
