Marvin Duane Crisp of Sapulpa, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the age of 73.
He was born on January 24, 1952, in Turlock, California, to Clifton and Patricia (Carter) Crisp. Marvin spent his first two years of life in California, before moving to Tulsa. He graduated from Edison High School in 1970 where he played football.
After high school, Marvin attended college in Miami, Oklahoma, intending to become an architect. He later found his passion in business. He worked as a union electrician before founding Crisp Communications in 1988. As President and CEO, he built the company into one of the top communications firms in Oklahoma. His company helped connect major corporations across the Tulsa metro and throughout the state and employed about 100 people. Marvin passionately led this company until his retirement in 2007.
He met the love of his life, Linda, in Tulsa, where they were happily married and made a life together for 47 years. Together they raised three sons-Adam, Aaron and Andrew-and were blessed with eight grandchildren.
Marvin was smart, driven, and loved his family deeply. He had a strong work ethic, a sharp mind for business, and a quiet pride in all he built and accomplished. If you met Marvin it was either at church where he was actively involved as a youth sponsor and Sunday School teacher or through participating in one of the many activities he enjoyed: softball, snow skiing, white water rafting and photography.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Patricia Crisp.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Crisp; three sons Adam and his wife Nadia, Aaron and his wife Lindsay and Andrew and his wife Kayleigh; plus eight grandchildren to include Caden, Karlyn, Hudson, Cale, Malachi, Lucy, Noah and Asher; siblings, Nanette Marie Cooley and Ernie Jay Crisp; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
