Martina Jo Rybski, 59, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on November 2, 2025. She was born on November 26, 1965, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Roy and Gladys Atterberry.
Martina grew up in Weleetka, where she made lifelong friends and cherished memories that lasted through the years. The youngest of her siblings and often called the “wild child,” Martina brought laughter, energy, and warmth wherever she went. She attended nursing school and carried her compassionate heart into everything she did, always caring for others—family, friends, or anyone lucky enough to cross her path.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Gladys Atterberry; her siblings Jay Mayes, Tommy Mayes, Betty Ben, and Sue Bilby.
She is survived by her loving children: Amanda Sourjohn (Sandan Capehart), Rachael Sourjohn (Wes McGraw), Kenneth Sourjohn (Lisa Bushnell), and Sonny Marshall. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren: Dryden Lane, Kasher Lane, Parker Lane, Finn Capehart, Zayden Sourjohn, and Mary Sourjohn. She also leaves behind a host of adoptive children who loved her deeply, as well as her siblings Jerry Mayes (Donna Mayes), Sandra Winn, and Tom Atterberry, and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Martina had a gift for making everyone feel like family. She loved to visit, talk, and laugh—whether over the phone or face to face—and was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved. She adored singing and was always the first to grab the microphone at karaoke, filling the room with joy and laughter. Her generous heart and boundless energy made her the kind of person who was always there when someone needed help, a hug, or just a listening ear.
She adored her family and the Weleetka community, cherished lake trips, and took pride in sewing blankets for her loved ones. A true social butterfly, Martina had an uncanny ability to turn strangers into friends and friends into family.
Her family and friends will remember her for her endless kindness, her joyful spirit, and the way she loved—fully, freely, and without hesitation.
Martina’s laughter, songs, and love will echo forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
