Mark Steven Allen

August 23, 1958 — April 22, 2026

Mark Steven Allen, 67, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on April 22, 2026, in Tulsa. He was born on August 23, 1958, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Mark graduated from Tulsa Memorial High School in 1976. On September 27, 1986, he married the love of his life, Pamela Mae Pruitt, in Tulsa. Together they built a strong and loving family, welcoming their first son, Garrod, in 1989, and their second son, Dalton, in 1992.

Mark had a diverse and accomplished career. He worked in the air and freight carrier business. He also created specialty plaques and awards for manufacturing. He later transitioned into boat sales, more of a passion than a job, before retiring. In retirement he maintained a successful career in commercial real estate.

He had a deep love for water sports, baseball, and basketball, and he especially cherished time spent with family and friends. Mark had a remarkable gift for connecting with people-he never met a stranger and was a second father figure to many. He was a devoted protector of his family and a man who could accomplish anything he set his mind to. He also had a strong interest in politics and greatly enjoyed discussing/debating current events, he also proudly volunteered with the Tulsa County Election Board as a site judge. While the role required him to refrain from discussing politics-a rule that didn't always come easy-he found great joy in serving his community. One of his favorite places in the world was Cabo, Mexico and Grand Lake Oklahoma.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Allen; his mother, Betty Whitaker; and his brothers-in-law, Bob Pruitt and Rick Schlekeway.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Allen; his children, Garrod Allen of Jenks, Oklahoma; Dalton Allen of Jenks, Oklahoma; and Dana Krueger and his spouse, Lauren, of Bixby, Oklahoma, who became family through love and were embraced as his own; and his cherished grandson, Abel Allen of Jenks, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his siblings: Kathy Phipps and Robbie of Coweta, Oklahoma; Barbara Hoffman and Joe of Grand Lake, Oklahoma; and Jeff Allen and Joy of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is further survived by his stepfather, Ed Whitaker of Mounds, Oklahoma; his sisters-in-law, Lauri Schlekeway, Kim Sommer, Cheryl Pruitt, and Gary Sommer; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Kendra Allen, Joe Hoffman Jr., Stephanie Hoffman, Tyler Allen, Kaitlin Castillo, Lauren Allen, Lindsey Thurman, Colby Schlekeway, Garret Sommer, Amy Banks, Mitchell Pruitt, Matthew Pruitt, Michael Pruitt, and Stephanie Song, along with their spouses.
