Marita E. Morgan was born October 19, 1934 and died Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at the age of 91. Marita was born and raised in Coffeyville, Kansas. It was there that she met her husband, Ralph, who played in a jazz band. They were married for 70+ years before his death in 2023. 

When their four children were in school, Marita resumed her education at the University of Tulsa where she received her Bachelor's Degree. She continued her education at Northeastern State University where she received her Master's Degree. She taught at Monroe Middle School and at Oral Roberts University. Marita was a 70+ year member of Boston Avenue United Methodist Church where she was known and recognized as an excellent Christian educator. 

She is survived by son Robert (Suzy) of Tulsa; son Keith (Karen) of St. Louis; daughter Sharon Chucoski (Bruce) of Tulsa and son Bruce (Mary) of Grand Rapids, MI. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. 

Marita believed strongly in the value of a college education; therefore, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ralph and Marita Scholarship Fund at Boston Avenue UniteMethodist Church; 1301 South Boston; Tulsa, Oklahoma 74119.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 18 in the sanctuary at Boston Avenue
