Marissa Nicoli Suarez, lovingly known as Nikki, went home to be with the lord on September 30, 2026, at the age of 72.
Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on February 8, 1954, Nikki was the daughter of Oscar Suarez and Betty Campbell Suarez, both of whom preceded her in death.
She made her way to the Big Apple, spending more than 30 years in New York City, before returning back home to Tulsa in 2021.
Nikki was the mother of Mia Janco and Aaron Bonilla, and blessed with three beautiful grandchildren: Jacob Bonilla, who preceded her in death, and Mikaela Bonilla and Miles Bonilla.
She is survived by her sisters, Jamee Suarez, Robin Suarez, and Missy Cremin; her brother, Carlos Suarez and her aunt, Judith Campbell.
In addition to her parents and grandson, Nikki was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Suarez, and a sister, Lisa Suarez.
After returning home, Nikki faced cervical cancer and later pancreatic cancer. She fought hard through treatment, showing tremendous strength even as her body grew weary from chemotherapy. Those who loved her take comfort in knowing that her pain has ended, though her absence leaves a deep ache in their hearts.
Nikki loved to cook for everyone and had a tender heart for animals. In New York City, she loved caring for the pigeons. Back home in Tulsa, that same love surrounded the four beloved dogs she cared for daily - Zella, Sissy, Bernie, and Sam-who depended on her, loved her deeply, and miss her.
Nikki will be remembered with love by her family and through the lives she touched, both human and animal.
Rest peacefully, You are loved, you are missed, and you will always be part of us.
