Marc Miller

Tulsa lost one of its brightest hometown legends on May 21, 2025, with the passing of William Marcus "Marc" Miller at the age of 67. Born on November 2, 1957, to Ernie and Nora Miller, Marc was a proud Tulsa native who turned his love of cars into a legacy and his passion for people into a community.

Marc wasn't just the name on the sign at Marc Miller Buick GMC - he was the heartbeat of the dealership. A true force of nature in Oklahoma's automotive world, Marc didn't build just a business; he built a family. "Our employees are our family," he always said, and he meant every word. He considered it one of his greatest honors that so many talented individuals chose to work for him. He never took that privilege lightly.

Marc's love for cars started early and never faded. Whether it was a muscle car, a workhorse pickup, or one of his meticulously crafted RC cars, he had gasoline in his veins and a spark in his soul. But it wasn't just four wheels that fueled him - it was Grand Lake. From the lake house to the boats, and of course, his legendary Fourth of July fireworks shows ("blowin' up the cove" was a cherished annual ritual), Marc turned every summer into a spectacular celebration.

Beyond business and horsepower, Marc was a man of heart. He was the proud husband of Jody, who was the absolute love of his life, the loving father of Jessica and Michael, and he was utterly devoted to his three grandchildren - Adalynn, Shawn, and Carter. Adalynn especially held a special place in Marc's heart - she was, in every way, his baby girl and his joy.

Marc was preceded in death by his parents, Ernie and Nora Miller. He carried their legacy forward with grit, grace, and a relentless drive to give back to the city that gave him everything.

Tulsa won't be the same without Marc's larger-than-life presence, but his spirit roars on in every engine that starts at his dealership and every firework that lights up Grand Lake.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28th at 1:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Tulsa.
