A Life Remembered
Manuel Avila Flores
February 24, 1956 to May 11, 2026
Manuel Avila Flores was a gentle, devoted man whose life was grounded in faith, love, humility, and unwavering dedication to his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather whose greatest joy came from being surrounded by those he loved. His presence was steady and calming, and his quiet strength made others feel safe, cared for, and deeply held.
A devout Catholic, Manuel lived his life with compassion and grace. His faith was reflected in the way he treated others with patience, kindness, and quiet service. Family was at the center of everything he did, and he showed his love not just in words, but in consistency, sacrifice, and care.
On May 11, 2026, Manuel gained his heavenly rest.
His greatest joy was being surrounded by his family. He was deeply proud of each and every one of his children and grandchildren, and he absolutely adored his wife, Lucia Nubia Flores, whom he loved with unwavering devotion and tenderness throughout his life.
She often said she could not have found a better husband. He was a loving father, a proud and caring grandfather, and her greatest companion. Whenever his family needed him, he was always there, steady, present, and ready with guidance, wisdom, and love.
He was a devoted father to his daughters, Jacqueline Flores and Elizabeth Flores, and a proud grandfather to Jacob Castaneda, Emma Sandoval, Eva Sandoval, Penelope Buck, and Phoenix Buck, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride. His love for his family was constant, gentle, and unconditional.
Manuel will be remembered for his tender heart, his quiet humility, and the way he made others feel deeply loved simply by being present. The love he gave so freely and the values he lived by will continue to live on through his family.
Though he is no longer with us in body, his love and spirit remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
His service will be held at Cavalry Cemetery, 9101 S. Harvard Ave, Tulsa, OK 74137, on Thursday, May 14, at 11:00 AM.
