Lucille Dixon, a beloved resident of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, at the age of 80.
Born on June 27, 1945, Lucille grew up with a deep sense of family, faith, and strength that would shape the rest of her life. At the age of 18, she moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where she met and married the love of her life, Dennis M. Foye Sr. Together they built a beautiful family and were blessed with two children: Dennis M. Foye Jr. and Jacqueline Loraine "Foye" Hall.
Lucille devoted 27 years of her life to her career as a Central Services Technician at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, where her dedication and work ethic left a lasting impression on colleagues and patients alike. After retirement, she continued to bring warmth and joy to those around her.
Known affectionately as the "Cookie Lady," Lucille's homemade cookies were legendary - a symbol of her love and generosity. She was a skilled crocheter and an excellent seamstress, often gifting handmade items that became family treasures. An energetic soul, she found joy in daily exercise and always approached life with vitality and spirit.
Family was at the center of everything Lucille did. She never missed a gathering - especially family parties, Fourth of July celebrations, and her grandchildren's birthday festivities. Her presence brought laughter, warmth, and a sense of togetherness that will be deeply missed.
Lucille also had a flair for excitement and entertainment. She loved a good thriller movie and believed in living life to its fullest - and she truly did.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in her cherished grandchildren: Racine T. Powell, Mrs. Ruquiyah C. "Foye" Hines, Kiara L, M Wallace, Diamond L. Hall, Mrs. Arianna J. "Hall" Williams, Joshua McDougle, Lucille is also survived by a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who were touched by her kindness and unforgettable spirit.
