Lois Price

July 21, 1928 — August 20, 2025

Lois Ann "Nana" Price, 97, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away on August 20, 2025, surrounded by family and embraced by the love of her church.

Born on July 21, 1928, in Mansfield, Wright County, Missouri, Lois lived a life devoted to faith, family, and service. After graduating high school, she began her career as a telephone operator for Pacific Bell in Exeter, California.

On July 21, 1948, she married the love of her life, Wilburn Price. Together, they embarked on a life filled with adventure, raising two beloved daughters, Pamela Leeth and Suzanne Barnett, building a business, founding a church in Visalia, California, and dedicating themselves to mission work, both at home and abroad in Nigeria, West Africa and Papua New Guinea.

In their retirement, Lois and Wilburn returned to Okmulgee, Oklahoma to be surrounded by their many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom they spoiled with love and affection.

Lois will always be remembered for her warm and mischievous smile, her ability to command attention with a single look, and her deep, thoughtful conversations with friends. A woman of strong faith, she was often seen reading her Bible or listening to preaching, with the mission field holding a special place in her heart. Her unwavering commitment to the Lord was evident in all aspects of her life.

Lois is survived by her daughters, Pamela Leeth and her husband Sherman, and Suzanne Barnett and her husband Rick; granddaughters Elisabeth Miller, Sarah Grice and husband Tim, Ruth Thompson, Amyee Barnett-Bragg, Deanna Murray and husband Dicky, Alisa Brumlow and husband Aubrey; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Her life embodied the words of Psalms 91:1-2: "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust." And in the spirit of 2 Timothy 4:7-8, Lois's legacy will live on: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."

Services to celebrate Lois's life will be held on October 4 at 3 p.m. at Apostolic Life in Okmulgee. Arrangements are entrusted to Schaudt Okmulgee Funeral Service & Cremation Care, 220 S. Alabama, Okmulgee, OK 74447.
