Linda Sue Brown

Linda Sue Brown, age 76, of Broken Arrow Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 31, 2026. She was born on April 25, 1950 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Ed and Clare Bisdee. She grew up in Broken Arrow with her brother Greg Bisdee.

Linda, graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1968 where she met Jimmy Brown her husband of 57 years. They married and had two boys Jimmy Jr. and Steven.

Known for her nurturing spirit to many, Linda had many titles; Wife, Mother, Mother-In -Law, Daughter, Sister , Aunt, Friend but the title she cherished most was Nana.

Linda, began her career with Broken Arrow Public Schools as a library aide at her son's elementary school and worked her way up to Purchasing Director for the district.

Linda, always had an adventurous spirit and loved vacationing and camping. She spent many years traveling with her husband in their RV to all their favorite spots. She also loved to read, sew, quilt, put jigsaw puzzles together and play games.

She was a member of Northside Christian Church for over 40 years and was always willing to serve others. She would happily rock babies in the nursery, teach Sunday School or make a dish for a pot luck dinner.

She loved Jesus, and was loved by her Savior. She modeled selfless love, commitment and service and was still trying to care for others in her last moments.

She never met a stranger. She loved community and people. She spent her life surrounding herself with family, wonderful friends, neighbors, and loved ones.  You mattered deeply to her and she prayed for you all often.

Jim and the family are immensely thankful for the hugs, prayers, snacks, laughs, memories, stories, and gentle guidance through this extremely difficult time. Our thanks is not sufficient for the kindness you have shown in the past few weeks. It has made a remarkable difference in our lives.

She is survived by husband Jimmy Brown of Tulsa. Jimmy Jr and wife Andrea Brown of Broken Arrow. Steven and wife Meegan Brown of Joplin. Grandchildren Garrett and wife Kaylee Brown of Broken Arrow, Savannah Brown of Stillwater, Thea and husband Jonah Spieker of Joplin, Lilly Brown of Joplin, and Oliver Brown of Joplin. She is also survived by brother Greg and wife Sheila Bisdee of Broken Arrow and their families.

She is preceded in death by parents Edward and Clare Bisdee
