Leonard B. Anglin

Leonard B. Anglin age 86 passed away Saturday, July 15, 2006 at his residence in Jenks, Oklahoma after fighting a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Anglin was born May 16, 1920 in Bowden, Oklahoma to Benjamin and Cornelia (Jennings) Anglin. He attended Jenks High School. Leonard entered the United States Army June 5, 1942 and served in World War II as a Private First Class Headquarters Battery 672nd Field Artillery Battalion. Leonard and the love of his life, Wilma Sanders, were united in marriage on December 5, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was honorably discharged at Fort Bliss, Texas on October 23, 1945. Mr. Anglin worked as a supervisor for Riverside Industries for 34 years before he retired.
Mr. Anglin moved to Jenks coming from Bixby about 75 years ago. He was a member of Manger Baptist Church, Jenks, Oklahoma and a member of the Jenks Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge. In his spare time he loved gardening, fishing and traveling.
Leonard B. Anglin was preceded in death by both parents: Benjamin and Cornelia Anglin; two brothers: Orville Anglin and Oscar Anglin along with his sister: Beulah Graham.
Mr. Anglin is survived by his wife: Wilma Anglin of Jenks, Oklahoma; his son: Leonard (Lenny) Anglin, Jr. of Bixby, Oklahoma; his daughter: Connie Anglin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother: Jim Anglin of Phoenix, Arizona; two grandchildren: Zach Anglin and Evan Anglin of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Manger Baptist Church, Jenks, Oklahoma with Reverend Mark Brewer and Reverend Troy Hayes officiating. Pallbearers will be Zach Anglin, Evan Anglin, Jim Fuller, Kevin Whited, Bryan Kirk and Larry Walker. Interment will be immediately following at Rosencutter Cemetery.
