Susan Furrh

Aug 6, 1947 — Nov 2, 2026

Lenita Susan Furrh was a woman who loved life, loved people, and rarely sat still for long. She had an outgoing personality, a warm heart, and a way of making everyone feel like a friend. She truly never met a stranger. Whether she was at church, traveling, or visiting with neighbors and family, Susan was happiest when she was surrounded by people and making memories.

Her faith was an impactful part of her life, and Faith Church held a very special place in her heart. Being involved in her church was something she genuinely loved and looked forward to. For more than ten years, one of her greatest joys was teaching Sunday school to children ages 3-5. She especially loved the little ones and the relationships she built along the way. She was also a familiar face at church festivals, senior dinners, women's groups, and countless other church activities. Her church family was an important part of her life, and she cherished being involved in every way she could.

Susan had a love for adventure and was always ready to go somewhere or do something. She loved traveling with family and friends, especially exploring new places and experiencing things she hadn't before. She enjoyed attending Kansas City Chiefs games with her husband, Ronnie, and was always happy to cheer them on. She also loved attending her nieces' horse shows and supporting them in something they enjoyed.

There was a special place in Susan's heart for country living. She loved the open space, the cows, and the peacefulness of life out in the country. She enjoyed gardening and was certainly persistent in her efforts, even if the results didn't always turn out quite as planned. She loved her home, her neighbors, and the friendships she made along the way. It was never long before another neighbor held the title friend.

Above all, Susan treasured her family. Her grandsons, Matt and Tim, held an especially special place in her heart, and time spent with them was among her greatest joys. She also loved her faithful four-legged companion, Henry.

Susan lived life with enthusiasm, a willingness to try something new, and a genuine interest in the people around her. She was always on the go, always ready for the next outing, and always making connections wherever she went. She leaves behind countless memories, lasting friendships, and a family and church community who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Myrtle Gubas; her husband, Ronnie Furrh; and her brother-in-law, Doug Hatley.

She is survived by her son, Robert Furrh, and his wife Heather; her beloved grandsons, Matt and Tim; her sister, Debbie Hatley; her brother, Jim Gubas; her sister, Kathy Phillips, and her husband David; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, dear friends, her church family, and her beloved dog, Henry.

Susan will be remembered for her faith, her love of family, her adventurous spirit, and most of all, the way she made friends wherever life took her. Her life was full of people, places, experiences, and memories, and she leaves a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
