Lawrence Larry Lee Miller age 65 went to be with his Lord on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Saint Francis Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Larry was born October 20, 1941 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Lee G. Miller and Lois M. (Gougler) Miller. He married the love of his life, Sue (Boatner) Miller in McAlester, Oklahoma July 22, 1962.
Larry received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and a Masters degree from Fort Hays State University, Fort Hays, Kansas. He lived in Chandler, Oklahoma for four years, and Hutchinson, Kansas for nine years before moving to the Glenpool area in 1990.
Larry Miller worked as a foreign language teacher for 32 years. Larry's last position as a teacher was with Skiatook Public Schools. He most recently was employed as a Production Specialist for The Bama Companies, Inc. Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Larry Miller was a respected leader; a devoted church member, an active board member and sang with the Praise Team for Grace Place Church of the Nazarene in Glenpool, Oklahoma. He was also a member of National Educators Association. Larry retired from the military after serving twenty-four years in the Army and Air National Guard.
Larry Miller was preceded in death by both parents: Lee and Lois Miller and his one sister: Marilyn Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Miller of Glenpool, Oklahoma; his three sons: Glenn Miller and his wife, Cheryl of Hillsboro, Texas; David Miller and his wife, Liz of Lake Forest, California, and J. Miller and his wife, LaTrice of Mannford, Oklahoma along with his three grandchildren: Cruz Miller, Ciera Miller and Macie Miller.
Pallbearers are: George Jessee, Larry White, Bob Hoppe, Alan Woodcock, David Gray and Frank Erwin.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at Grace Place Church of the Nazarene in Glenpool. Pastor Gary Narron will officiate. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
