Laury Duane Lee

Services to honor and celebrate the life of Laury Duane Lee will be held 11:00 am Friday, February 1st at Newspring Family Church in Jenks with Pastor Greg Ables officiating. Laury passed away with his loving wife and children by his side on January 28, 2019 in Tulsa, OK, he was 63.

Laury was born on February 27,1955 in Jos, Nigeria to missionaries Rev. Charles and Gwyneth Lee. He married Tonya Hale on September 23, 1978 at Airview Tabernacle in Jenks, OK. Laury worked in the Oil and Gas industry for over 40 years as an accountant. Laury enjoyed hiking, watching westerns, riding
roller coasters, listening to Southern Gospel, and supporting Alabama football. Roll Tide!


Laury graduated Magnum Cum Laude from ORU in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science. He was a
very active church member, serving on the board, teaching Sunday school, and assisting with
the church accounting and finances. He loved meeting new people and he had friends and
acquaintances everywhere he went.


He was preceded in death by his mother Gwyneth Arlene Lee.


Survivors include his father Rev. Charles E. Lee of Huntsville, AL.; wife Tonya Lee of Jenks
Oklahoma; daughters Adrienne Williams and Gabrielle Lee, and brothers Gayle and Ron Lee, as
well as other loving family and friends.

A visitation will be Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 5-8pm at Schaudt’s Glenpool Funeral Service, 719 E. 141st, Glenpool, OK. Flowers are greatly appreciated or a memorial donation made in his honor to Street Cats Rescue.​
