Anna Larie "Larie" Kizer, 79, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed peacefully on March 2, 2026, with her devoted husband by her side. She was born March 14, 1946, in San Bernardino, California, to Doyle and Florence Valentine (Cheshewalla) Cobb. At the age of two, Larie moved to Oklahoma when her father, who served in the military, relocated their family.
A proud graduate of Ponca City High School, Larie built a life centered on love, family, and life's simple joys. On April 8, 1966, she married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Marvin Robert Kizer. For nearly sixty years, Marvin was her steady companion, greatest supporter, and best friend.
Larie worked for several years in retail, including at TG&Y and Target, and also at Wheaton Van Lines, where she enjoyed visiting with customers and coworkers alike. No matter where she worked, she was known for her warm smile and easy conversation.
She was an avid reader of love stories, a dedicated scrapbooker, and a passionate genealogy enthusiast who treasured preserving her family's history. She loved playing card games-especially canasta-and enjoyed trips to Eureka Springs, Branson, and Six Flags in Dallas, making sweet memories along the way.
Christmas was her favorite holiday. She would decorate-and then decorate some more-filling her home with warmth, sparkle, and joy, with a garage full of decorations to prove it. At Christmastime, she was lovingly known for "stealing" deviled eggs, a playful tradition that brought laughter year after year.
Larie loved all animals without exception. She delighted in feeding wild geese, watching animal shows, and caring for every creature she could.
Above all, Larie was a lover-of her husband, her family, her traditions, and the world around her. Her gentle heart, playful spirit, and joyful presence will be cherished always by Marvin, her cousins, and all who knew and loved her.
