Kathryn Louise Holsonback (Entrekin) was born on September 15th, 1982, in Oceanside, California to Paul Entrekin and Julie Entrekin (Ross). She passed away on July 10th, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 43.

Kate was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Pensacola, Florida, and later attended Auburn University. Kate was also a multi-generational attendee of Camp Wohelo in Maine, and Camp Merrie-Woode in North Carolina.

Kate spent the majority of her career in talent management, working for organizations ranging from IBM Kenexa to PeopleScout to Nextep. She also served as the Director of Human Resources for the Oklahoma Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and was most recently the Director of Talent Acquisition for Provalus. A SHRM-SCP certified professional, Kate was a respected member of her field for over 20 years.

Kate had a deep love for her children, and dearly loved the outdoors, she enjoyed kayaking and spent as much time as possible among the trees. She loved literature and spent a lot of time reading across a variety of genres. Her collection of books ranged from classics, such as the works of Jane Austen to more contemporary fantasy authors such as Sarah J Maas.

Along with her hobbies and her responsibilities at work, Kate was a faithful Christian. She was a lifelong Methodist serving in a variety of capacities in United Methodist Churches throughout Oklahoma. Kate believed strongly that the end of life isn't the reward related to it, the journey is.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Julian E. Ross and Carolyn Ross McGregor, paternal grandparents, Charles Bernice Entrekin and Mary Louise Sabetti, and her older brother, Charles "Charlie" Bernice Entrekin II.
