Judy Ann Parli

October 4, 1957 — July 10, 2021

Judy Ann Parli was a kind, independent woman. Judy was frank about everything, but only if you asked. For her, there was no time or place for dishonesty, as that never did anyone any good. This made her respected. With Judy, there was room for acceptance, and those around her were not left wanting if she could do something to help. This made her endearing. You could depend on Judy to support you and guide you. She knew that she had received help along her path and always wanted to pay it forward. This made her loved.

Judy was fond of crafting, especially with her family, because she was a doer. Judy enjoyed watering her garden on warm summer evenings, because she was nurturing. Judy delighted in escaping into the many adventures between the lines in the books on her night stand, because she was brave. And Judy loved her family, old and new, big and small, for us she was through and through a mother.

Judy spent her childhood in Kansas, where she graduated from Smith Center High School. She attended Emporia State University where she earned her degree in the field of chemistry. Judy worked in Oklahoma for 38 years, most recently in Okmulgee at CP Kelco for 23 years, where she had many friends. Through her work, she traveled to several countries over the years, including Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, and Japan. Judy also contributed to several research papers and publications.

Born October 4, 1957 in Great Bend, Kansas to Glenn and Mary (Simpson) Hayes, Judy was the youngest of the Hayes brothers and sisters, Mary Lou (Hickel), Jim, Sally, Greg and Tom. Judy has a son, Andrew, and a daughter, Jennifer (Giltner), along with numerous loving grandchildren.

Judy passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 10, 2021. She was still a young 63 at heart!
