Joy Loray Varner, age 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at her home in Jenks, Oklahoma, surrounded by her devoted family.
Joy was born on September 2, 1944, in Orange, Texas, to Irvin and Leola (Felts) Langston. She attended Webster High School and later married the love of her life, James Varner, in Columbus, Kansas. Together they built a beautiful life centered around love, faith, and family.
Joy was a dedicated homemaker whose greatest joy in life was being with her loved ones. She had a warm heart, a gentle spirit, and a deep love for her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her sweet nature, and the way she made everyone feel special and loved. To her family, she was the heart of the home-a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband James, two brothers, and one sister.
Joy's legacy lives on through her children, Donald Varner, Dennis Varner, and Dana Gower; her grandchildren, Chasity, Desiere, and Jordan; and her great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Isaiah, Eli, Journi, and Atticus. She leaves behind a family who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
Joy's life was a blessing to all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
