Jojean Beattie

June 13, 1954 — April 22, 2025

Jojean Beattie, 70, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on June 13, 1954, in Tulsa to Eugene and Yolanda Hooper, Jojean lived a life full of warmth, adventure, and fierce devotion to those she loved.

Jojean met the love of her life, Joe Beattie, in high school. Though her father wasn't too sure about the boy on the motorcycle, time proved their love was unstoppable. Married for 51 beautiful years, Jojean and Joe built a life rooted in love, laughter, and loyalty. Together, they raised three daughters-Jennifer, Heather, and Amber-who carry forward their mother's strength, heart, and sparkle.

To know Jojean was to love her. She was strong and feisty, thoughtful and stubborn in all the best ways. A fighter through and through, Jojean never let life's challenges dim her joy. Her family describes her as someone who always made sure everyone had something-whether it was a bite to eat, a thoughtful gift, or a comforting word.

She was a military wife and adventurer at heart, living in places as far as Japan and making every house a home. She found joy in life's simple pleasures-playing Mahjong on her computer, traveling, picking up her grandkids for special time together, and indulging in her favorite seafood meals.

Jojean wore many names with pride: Mom, Nan, Nana, Jeanne. She was the oldest of five siblings and a guiding light to her family. Her legacy lives on through her beloved husband Joe, her daughters Jennifer (John Breeding), Heather (James Enloe), and Amber, her grandchildren Preston, Chandler, Jillian, Olivia, Beau, Bishop, Jacob, Jayme, Katelyn, Colton, and Cameron, and six great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her siblings Robin Winn, Kyle Hooper, Christy Hooper, and Marilyn Kirk, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Yolanda, her Grandmother Hooper, and her Grandmother Berne-who no doubt greeted her with open arms.

Jojean's spirit was a blend of strength and sweetness, grit and grace. She leaves behind a family who will carry her love in their hearts forever. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her laughter, wisdom, and fierce love will echo for generations to come.
