Sengchanh John Phetsacksith

February 8, 1973 — February 6, 2026

John Phetsacksith was born on February 8, 1973, in Pakse, Laos, to Souphanh and Noukham Phetsacksith. He later graduated from Hominy High School and attended Vo-Tech, where he began the path that led to his career as a skilled electrician.

John became a father to his son, Jonathan, and later married the love of his life, Keo. Together they shared 20 wonderful years of marriage and raised three children: Axion, Amy, and Jonny.

John was known for his sense of humor and his ability to enjoy life. His greatest joy was his wife and children. He was endlessly proud of them and often spoke about the bright, successful futures he believed they would have. In his spare time, John loved hunting, fishing, grilling, watching sports and dramas, and listening to old-time country music. One of his favorite things to do was sing “Tennessee Whiskey,” humorously changing the lyrics to “Hominy Whiskey.”

He is survived by his beloved wife, Keo; his children, Axion, Amy, and Jonny; his mother, Noukham Phetsacksith; and his siblings, Vanh Phetsacksith, Khamsavanh Phetsacksith, Nivanh Bladen, Khamp Phetsacksith, and Aenoy Phetsacksith. He was preceded in death by his father, Souphanh Phetsacksith, and his son, Jonathan Barrett.

John’s deep love for his wife and children will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
