Josephine I. Millenacker, 87, went to be with her Lord peacefully on Friday, October 1, 2004 at Maplewood Care Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Millenacker graduated from Lake City High School in 1935 and in 1938 she graduated from St. Anthony School of Nursing where she worked as a registered nurse. She married the love of her life, Walter Millenacker, November 14, 1940 at St. Peter and Paul's Church in Carroll , Iowa. Josephine was a member of Holy Spirit Parish and Womens Guild and participated in the Holy Spirit Church choir for over 25 years.
Mrs. Millenacker was preceded in death by both parents: Sam Johnson and Frances Hinckley Johnson; her husband: Walter Millenacker, who passed away in 1988; grandchild: Sara Tiefenthal; sister: Jeanette Waldstein; brothers: Richard and Marlo Johnson.
Mrs. Millenacker is survived by her daughter: Janice Tiefenthaler, Tulsa, Oklahoma; son: Jim Millenacker and his wife, LaJean, Carroll, Iowa; grandchildren: Marty Tiefenthaler of Tulsa, Lynn Tiefenthaler of Norman, Andy Tiefenthaler of Broken Arrow; Laura Knoll of Tulsa, Michael Millenacker of California and Heather Jones of Carroll besides 6 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and Honor Guard will be St. Anthony Hospital Nurses Alumni Association.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Church, Carroll, Iowa. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Father James McCormick officiating.
