Jimmy Charles Campbell

October 25, 1950 — April 23, 2026

Jimmy Charles Campbell, age 75, passed away on April 23, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Jimmy was born on October 25, 1950, in Stigler, Oklahoma, to Thurbert Campbell and Alene Campbell. He married the love of his life, Helen Campbell, on May 22, 1969. The two met at church, beginning a lifelong partnership built on faith, love, and devotion.

Work later brought Jimmy and Helen to Glenpool, Oklahoma, where they built their home and raised their family. Jimmy was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who found his greatest joy in the people he loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurbert and Alene Campbell, his sisters Judy, Fern, Nina, and Kathleen, and his great-great grandson Kolter Ray Dean Holmes.

Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife, Helen Campbell; his son, Jason Campbell; his daughter, Regina Smith and her husband Steve; his grandchildren, Kyle Campbell, Kayla Smith, Tyson Smith, and Trina Smith; his great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Kagen, Madison, Mylee, Thomas, and Bentley. He is also survived by his brothers Roy, Andy, and Glen, and his sisters Joice Ann Hightower and Betty Jo Honeycutt, along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Jimmy lived a full and vibrant life. He had a deep love for bluegrass music, often sharing his gift of song with others. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and tending to his garden. One of his simplest and most cherished joys was playing marbles with Helen-though she had a knack for winning, much to his playful frustration.

Known for his competitive spirit and outgoing personality, Jimmy had a way of making his presence known. He was strong-willed and confident, yet beneath that was a deeply kind and generous soul. He dedicated much of his time to serving others, visiting nursing homes and even prisons to sing and uplift those who needed it most. One of his proud moments was performing for Governor Brad Henry at Perryman Ranch in Jenks, Oklahoma.

Jimmy's commitment to his community was evident throughout his life. He was honored as Citizen of the Year in Glenpool, served as a volunteer firefighter in Stigler, and contributed his time on the Board of Adjustments Zoning Commission in Glenpool. Through his work as the owner and operator of Campbell Heating and Air from approximately 1988 to 2007, he built not only a business but a legacy of trust, hard work, and service. He truly enjoyed his work as a heating and air contractor and took pride in helping others.

Jimmy will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his generous heart, his strong spirit, and the music he so freely shared with the world. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the family he cherished so deeply.
