Jimmie Dale Wilson
June 27, 1939 - January 13, 2026
Jimmie Dale "Jim" Wilson, 86, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, in Tulsa. He was born on June 27, 1939, in Hominy, Oklahoma, to Clyde R. Wilson and Thela Ann Lay Wilson.
Jim was a longtime resident of Tulsa and devoted much of his professional life to serving the city as a Traffic Engineer, helping shape and safeguard the community he loved.
Jim had a great sense of humor and genuinely loved people. He never met a stranger and delighted in conversation wherever he went. Family and friends fondly remember his warm personality and his playful, good-natured flirting with waitresses-always lighthearted, always kind, and usually followed by laughter.
Above all, Jim was a faithful man who loved Jesus. His faith guided every part of his life, and he was deeply devoted to the church he attended. He lived out his beliefs with sincerity, kindness, and grace.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde R. Wilson and Thela Ann Lay Wilson; his brother, Roland Wilson; his sister, Barbara Wilson, who died in infancy; and his second wife, Ginger Palmer, who passed away in 2017.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cathy Wilson; his first wife, Carol Counce, the mother of his two children; his daughter, Michelle Kennedy, and her husband, Rusty; his son, David Wilson, and his wife, Sherry. He was a proud grandfather to Cory Kennedy, Chloe Millard (and her husband Sam), Seth Wilson, and Ethan Wilson.
